Friendschool's curriculum of choice is the SonLight's Education Ministry, SEM curriculum!
SEM focuses on the child's character as a parent's first and highest aim in education & that the Bible was written for all ages. SEM materials were developed with the whole family in mind! It includes the Family Bible Lessons book and the Children's Activity Book. Parents are even invited to follow a reading plan for themselves alongside the family bible lessons.
SEM materials are FREE via their Google Drive here as PDF files that families can print on the go by selecting "Family Bible Lessons (Free Downloads), but they can also be ordered via Amazon here.l of the same material that we offer for free that we have written.

SEM takes kids and their families on a deep dive into Bible stories and God's natural wonders with nature studies that last 3 months in a single topic. Friendschoolers will become experts in each nature study area! Weekly Bible stories are paired with character qualities, and each quality is revisited throughout the year, allowing children to live them out routinely.

We are currently on Cycle 2 (Birds, Rocks and Minerals, Water, and Mammals)
Throughout year 1, kids will explore all about trees, insects, flowers and butterflies.
The Bible content covers stories from Creation to the story of Achan, with character qualities that relate to the Bible characters within each story.
Year 2, children study rocks, water, the life of birds and mammals.
The Bible content covers stories from Saul to the the woman at the well, with character qualities that relate to the Bible characters within each story.
Year 3, kids investigate Amphibians, gardening, the ocean world and astronomy.
The Bible content covers stories from the ten lepers to the story of Heaven with character qualities that relate to the Bible characters within each story.
